What (CONT'D) is
(CONT'D) is a screenplay intelligence platform. It reads FDX files from your connected Google Drive and surfaces role-specific analysis for development executives, producers, and showrunners. It reads scripts. It does not write them.
What data we collect
- —Your email address. Used to create your account and send sign-in links. We never share it with third parties for marketing.
- —Google Drive access. We read FDX files from folders you explicitly connect. We do not read or index other files in your Drive.
- —Script content and documents you upload. Parsed structurally to produce analysis. Stored encrypted at rest in a private Google Cloud SQL database in the United States (us-central1).
- —Usage and error data. Requests and feature interactions recorded in our own server logs and database, and server-side error reports. Product events (for example sign-up, project created, script synced) are sent under a pseudonymous account ID, without your email address or name.
- —Analytics cookies (optional). Only if you accept them: PostHog and Google Analytics record page views and product interactions in your browser to help us improve the product. Session recording is off and Google advertising storage/signals are disabled. We run no advertising scripts.
What we don't do
- —We do not use your screenplay content to train AI models.
- —We do not sell your data to third parties.
- —We do not read Drive files outside the folders you connect.
- —We do not store your Google credentials — only OAuth tokens scoped to Drive read access.
How we protect your data
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We run on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. Script content is stored in a private Cloud SQL database that is not accessible from the public internet. Session tokens are short-lived and stored in httpOnly cookies.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers (sub-processors) to run (CONT'D). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
- —Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL). Hosting and database — United States.
- —Google Firebase Authentication. Sign-in and session management.
- —Google Drive API. Reading the FDX files in folders you connect.
- —Anthropic. AI analysis of script content. Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, inputs are not used to train their models.
- —Resend. Transactional email such as sign-in links and notifications.
- —Sentry. Server-side error monitoring.
- —PostHog. Product analytics: pseudonymous server events, and browser analytics only with your consent — United States.
- —Google Analytics. Product analytics: consented browser events and, when server analytics is enabled, pseudonymous server events. Advertising storage, ad personalization and Google signals are disabled.
- —Stripe. Payment processing, only if and when you subscribe to a paid plan.
International transfers
Your data is stored and processed in the United States. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, this means your data is transferred outside those regions. We rely on our providers' data processing terms for these transfers. Productions that need UK or EU data residency or a signed data processing agreement should contact us before uploading scripts.
AI and writers
(CONT'D) is designed around the principles in WGA and WGGB guidance on AI: it surfaces analysis about screenplays and does not generate screenplay content. Your scripts are never used to train generative models.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your data, its correction, or the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@contd.app or from your account settings. We complete deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by email. If you are in the UK, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
